ABOUT ME
I'm an architect and writer and an Assistant Professor of Architecture at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK), where I run the Novel Biomaterials Lab.
From 2022 to 2025, I was an Assistant Professor at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), after serving for three years as the Ventulett Next Generation Visiting Fellow at Georgia Tech.
Alongside design work, I write about adaptive reuse and its relationship to preservation, among many other topics, contemporary and historic.
I have an MArch from Princeton (2017), a PhD in Oncology from Cambridge (2011), and an AB/ ScB in math, comparative literature, and biology from Brown University (2005).
I am a registered architect in the state of Georgia.
